Our Story
We are two best friends that bonded over our love of photography. Through a chance meeting we came into contact and quickly became best friends. We realized very fast that not only did we think differently than other people, but we thought similarly to each other, albeit funhouse mirror versions of each other. This lead to us not only becoming roommates, but also lead to us working together. Out of that decision Tall Guys Photography was born. Our company is named Tall Guys, because we are both 6'6" andit was the obvious name for us anyway. We believe we bring a unique perspective, both creatively and physically (literally, we are giants). We each have our strengths and stories, but together we make a great team, a dynamic duo if you will, that can capture the memories of whatever event you allow us to be a part.

My name is LJ, my journey in photography started different than most, I entered the market as a retoucher. After completing a multitude of projects for myself and others, I made the decision to pick up a camera myself. I began my photography career as a sports photographer before moving into the realm of wedding and session photography. The sports and action foundation that I possess gives me strong background in capturing once in a lifetime images as they happen without missing a beat.
I love helping Brides and Grooms capture images which they will cherish, as well as images that will stand the test of time.

My name is Andrew. I had always dreamed about taking pictures, ever since I saw my sister buy her first dSLR for her study abroad trip to Europe. I could always see shots unfold in my head, but I never had the actual means to capture these images I saw so clearly. But 4 years ago my step mother blessed me with my first dSLR and I began shooting professionally soon thereafter.
I love helping Brides and Grooms capture their wedding days and make it the most special day possible. Professionally I have shot at 30+ weddings and worked with non-profits like the Huntsville Hospital Donor Foundation and with NewLeaf Digital, as well as with families and individuals.
